Niagara Power Vista

New York Power Authority | Niagara, NY

BPI has thrown the switch to kick up the power and the fun at New York Power Authority’s (NYPA) Niagara Power Vista. Through immersive exploration and engaging hands-on activities, visitors discover the shocking truth about New York’s clean hydroelectric system. BPI’s entire creative team collaborated closely with NYPA and Hadley Exhibits to completely reimagine the visitor experience at the Niagara Power Vista. From tactile levers and gears, to high-tech MultiTaction interactivity, to user-friendly digital photo-ops, visitors are treated to over 25 new engaging interactives, networked together with a robust RFID ticketing system. Guests roleplay in themed environments and are immersed in show-controlled theaters, including BPI’s thrilling new 4D motion theater “Power UP!” Audiences laugh and cheer as they splash into the Niagara River, spin through enormous turbines, surge through an electrical generator, and zip along power lines across New York’s electrical network. BPI’s integrated RFID ticketing system not only gives visitors instant remote access to all their consolidated photo-ops and customized exhibit media, but it also provides the NYPA staff with robust analytics that track visitor activities and offers insightful data that illustrates how audience demographics are engaging with each exhibit throughout the venue. It’s a powerful experience.

Build it up & Power it Up!

BPI combined hands-on tactile interactivity with a sophisticated high-tech interface. Visitors place objects on a MultiTaction table to build their own communities, and then draw virtual network connections to transmit clean energy to neighborhoods and businesses. It's your world. Add hydropower, solar farms and wind turbines. Then, build a network to safely distribute power without overloading the system. Power to the people.

“Must see for science lovers"

"Recently renovated and a must see for science and technology lovers. Best of all, it is free. Cool exhibits, 4d ride, and film is better than the IMAX at niagara visitors center."
