BPI is an award-winning designer, developer and integrator of multi-media exhibits and other interactive experiences. We specialize in media design and production for museums, visitor centers, sports venues and retail environments. We develop interactive applications, as well as produce films, audio, and immersive theaters. We love to build interactions with physical components, multiple screens, and unusual interfaces.  We work closely with design firms and exhibit fabricators, as well as, directly with our end clients to execute unique, creative projects.

We are seeking a seasoned Interactive Digital Project Manager to deliver our nationwide projects according to our clients’ vision. You will work on a variety of projects across multiple mediums, including interactive installations for world-class organizations. You will be responsible for developing strong client relationships, coordinating internal teams, and delivering high quality products. 

 The Interactive Digital Project Manager will be responsible to:

·       Guide digital projects from kick-off to launch

·       Effectively manage and coordinate all information and work related to projects including project schedules, task assignment, issue tracking, and agenda development

·       Define project scope and develop estimates with team members

·       Run project team meetings and associated work sessions;

·       Effectively track and manage budgets;

·       Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risk issues and devise and implement contingency plans;

·       Facilitate collaboration of the project team.

·       Build strong relationships with clients.

·       Coordinate teams of designers and developers and ensure project success

·       Lead project status meetings and updates with internal teams and clients

·       Contribute ideas to projects


The skills and experience we are looking for include:

·       Bachelor’s degree required

·       Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience

·       Experience in interactive software development

·       Knowledge of project management software, systems, and procedures

·       Understanding and eye for design

·       Knowledge of best practices in interactive design and development

·       Effective verbal and written communication skills

·       Self starter, proactive with sense of urgency

·       Relationship builder

·       Strong problem solving skills and ability to find solutions and remove barriers to progress

·       Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills; ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously

·       Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines

·       Conflict resolution skills

·       PMP Certification strongly preferred

·       Must have work authorization to work in the United States

BPI is an award-winning software development, media design and production firm that creates engaging immersive environments and interactive exhibits for Businesses, Museums, Visitor Centers, Zoos, Aquariums and other popular attractions.


Reporting directly to the COO, the Director of Interactive Development is responsible for overseeing and managing BPI’s interactive software development team.

We seek a rare individual, who is both an accomplished developer in his/her own right and also can be a capable leader and enthusiastic manager of people. The candidate will have a proven track record of solving problems and commitment to a high-level of customer service.

This position involves a mix of hands-on coding and the management of BPI’s software development team. Our projects are diverse, each offering new coding challenges with unique hardware/software combinations in order to meet client goals and create memorable moments for their guests.

Technical / Development Capabilities

·  8+ years experience in hands-on code development. Particularly, experience with Unity C#, JavaScript, Java, Python, and C++ are valuable.

·  Expert understanding of the full-stack development process: front-end websites, stand-alone kiosk interactives, content management systems (CMS), APIs and other back-end systems

·  Experience designing and architecting large-scale software projects.

·  Must have a solid, working knowledge of Git or equivalent source control technology.

·  Experience in continuous integration and deployment.

·  Experience with build and scripting tools such as Windows batch files, VBScript, etc.

·  Has and maintains a familiarity with trends and new technology in the industry; uses that knowledge to make informed decisions regarding the technology used to build each project.


Leadership / Management Capabilities

·  Manage and provide day-to-day support and guidance for the interactive development team

·  Collaborate with the creative department in project planning to determine how interactive exhibits will get built from a software development perspective based on client and end user requirements

·  Oversee all phases of the software development lifecycle with emphasis on quality, performance, design, profitability, and best practices

·  Help to make in-house vs. subcontract decisions in order to meet software project schedules

·  Participate in the recruiting, hiring, and retention of members of the interactive development team

·  Assist in budget development for those portions of projects which involve interactive development

·  Perform regular performance evaluations with members of the interactive development team

·  Represent the interactive developers in Leadership and planning meetings at BPI

·  Develop, maintain, and grow a scalable process for exhibits development, integrating it into BPI’s overall process.
