The Elephant Sanctuary

The Elephant Sanctuary provides a home, companionship and individual care for elephants retired from performance or exhibition. But you can’t go there because… well… it’s a sanctuary… for elephants. Essentially, the elephants come and go as they please and the public is not allowed inside the sanctuary.

In the nearby town of Hohenwald, TN, the Sanctuary has a new Discovery Center.  Designed by Tracy Revis, BPI was tasked with the media design and production of an interactive map table, immersive two screen theater, and a documentary film exhibit. There is an interactive model of the Protective Care wall systems that keep caregivers safe when they are tending the pachyderms.

BPI had the extraordinary opportunity to film at the sanctuary and incorporated the footage into documentary films and the unique interactives.
