Niagara Power Vista Visitor Center
BPI has thrown the switch to kick up the power and the fun at New York Power Authority’s (NYPA) Niagara Power Vista. Through immersive exploration and engaging hands-on activities, visitors discover New York’s clean hydroelectric system.
Working in collaboration with Hadley Exhibits, BPI designed, researched, scripted, and produced all the media exhibits throughout the venue.
From tactile levers and gears, to high-tech MultiTaction interactivity, to user-friendly digital photo-ops, visitors are treated to over 25 challenging interactives, networked together with a robust RFID ticketing system. Guests role play in themed environments and are immersed in show-controlled theaters, including the thrilling 4D motion theater “Power UP!” Audiences laugh and cheer as they splash into the Niagara River, spin through enormous turbines, surge through an electrical generator, and zip along power lines across New York’s electrical network.
BPI combined hands-on tactile interactivity with a high-tech interface. Visitors place objects on a MultiTaction table to build communities, and then create connections to transmit clean energy to homes and cities. They can also add hydropower, solar farms, and wind turbines to build a network that safely distributes power.
BPI’s integrated RFID ticketing system gives visitors instant remote access to all their consolidated photo-ops and customized exhibit media and provides the NYPA staff with robust analytics that track visitor activities.
